Cíle předmětu

The students will be able to form informed opinion, take a position and express themselves on topics related to social pedagogy and social work in their broadest sense.



The topics of the course may alter according to the emerging issues.

Osnova

·         The impacts of poverty in the world and in our countries


·         Selected environmental (SDGs, NIMBY, …) & political topics influencing everyday reality (Political spectrum left to right, conservative to liberal, …)


·         Inequality and the consequences of the rich north and poor south


·         The story of Detroit city


·         What is the truth, „alternative truth“, conspiration and how it influences us


·         Modern slavery and fair wages


·         Emerging issues

Výukové metody

Lecture, Discussion, Problem solving activities, Reading texts + Watching short videos with following analysis and discussion

Metody hodnocení

The maximum possible absence is 180 minutes (i.e., one meeting), credit will be awarded for active participation in the course and for preparing a short entry on the chosen topic.
