The thematic emphasis of this intensive program is diversity inclusion for social cohesion as experienced in Europe today. Participants are social work students and related disciplines who have personal experience and commitment to questions of inclusion and exclusion. The content of this seminar includes cutting edge contributions from experts and scholars from related disciplines, as well as an interactive visit to the Commissioner for Integration of the City of Ulm and a guided tour to a Museum for Early Migration. The Bad Boll Academy, with its long tradition of fostering political dialogue over conflictive positions, is an ideal setting where future practitioners in the social service profession will engage experts in discussions. We will examine how exclusionary practices in our society are effectively addressed by anti-discriminatory principles incorporated in international law.
